Privacy Policy for DailySpark

This Privacy Policy applies to the DailySpark mobile application ("DailySpark" or the "Application"), developed and provided by CeylanApp ("we," "us," or "Service Provider"). DailySpark is offered as a freemium application supported by advertising and optional in-app purchases.

1. Information Processed by the Application

DailySpark is designed as a primarily offline, local diary application. We do not operate a server that receives or stores your diary entries, notes, checklists, selected photos, profile photo, password, mood records, tags, or reminders.

The Application may process the following information locally on your device:

  • Account and profile information that you enter, such as a username, profile name, password, and optional profile photo.
  • Diary content, including titles, text, dates, moods, tags, checklists, favorites, reminders, and theme preferences.
  • Photos that you take with the camera or specifically select through the Android system photo picker.
  • Application preferences, purchased-product status, rewarded-ad theme progress, and selected language or theme.

Passwords are not intended to be stored as readable plain text in the Application database. They are protected using a salted password hash. If you choose to save your login credentials, they are stored using the device's secure encrypted storage.

2. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

CeylanApp does not directly collect or receive:

  • Your diary entries, notes, checklists, moods, tags, or selected photos.
  • Your precise GPS location.
  • Your contacts, messages, microphone recordings, or full photo library.
  • Your biometric data.

When biometric login is used, authentication is performed by the Android operating system. DailySpark receives only the authentication result and does not receive or store your fingerprint or facial biometric template.

3. Advertising and Automatically Processed Technical Data

The free version of DailySpark uses Google AdMob to display banner, interstitial, and rewarded advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may automatically process information such as:

  • Advertising identifiers and other device or application identifiers.
  • IP address and general location inferred from the IP address.
  • Device type, operating system, application version, language, and network information.
  • Advertising interactions, diagnostics, crash information, and performance data.

This information is processed by Google under its own terms and privacy policy. Depending on your region, age, device settings, and Google advertising settings, ads may be personalized or non-personalized.

Purchasing DailySpark Premium removes banner and interstitial advertising. Rewarded advertisements are shown only when an eligible user voluntarily chooses to watch them to unlock a theme.

4. In-App Purchases

DailySpark offers optional purchases through Google Play Billing, including the premium_lifetime product. Purchase processing is handled by Google Play. CeylanApp does not receive or store your complete payment card or bank details.

Google Play may process purchase information, transaction identifiers, account information, device information, and fraud-prevention data according to Google's policies. The Application stores limited purchase-entitlement information on the device so that purchased features can remain available and purchases can be restored.

5. Camera, Photos, Notifications, and Reminders

  • Camera: Used only when you choose to take a diary or profile photo.
  • Photos: DailySpark uses the Android system photo picker. The Application receives access only to the photos you specifically select and does not request broad access to your full photo library.
  • Notifications: Used to deliver diary reminders that you create.
  • Exact alarms and device restart: Used, where supported, to schedule reminders at the time you selected and restore scheduled reminders after the device restarts.

You may control these permissions through your device settings. Refusing a permission may prevent the related optional feature from working but does not prevent basic diary use.

6. Sharing, Exporting, and Importing

DailySpark allows you to:

  • Share diary text and an attached photo through the Android share menu.
  • Export diary data as a JSON backup file.
  • Import a JSON backup file selected by you.

These actions occur only when you initiate them. Once you share or export information to another application, cloud service, person, or storage location, that recipient's privacy practices apply. CeylanApp does not control copies that you create or share outside DailySpark.

7. Local Storage, Android Backup, and Data Retention

Your diary and profile data are stored locally in the Application's private storage on your device. They remain there until you delete the relevant content or uninstall the Application.

Android or a device manufacturer may include Application data in a device backup or transfer, depending on your device and backup settings. Such backups are controlled by the operating-system or backup provider, not by CeylanApp.

Uninstalling DailySpark generally removes its locally stored data from the device. Copies that you exported, shared, or that may exist in a device backup must be managed separately through the relevant application, storage location, or backup service.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical measures appropriate for a local mobile application, including private application storage, salted password hashing, and encrypted credential storage. However, no device, storage method, or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are responsible for protecting access to your device, password, exported backups, and shared files.

10. Children's Privacy

DailySpark is not directed to children under 13 or the applicable minimum digital-consent age in their country. CeylanApp does not knowingly collect children's personal information on its own servers. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided information in connection with the Application may contact us using the address below.

11. Your Choices

You can:

  • Edit or delete diary entries within the Application.
  • Remove selected profile or diary photos.
  • Disable camera or notification permissions in Android settings.
  • Manage Google advertising preferences through your device settings or Google's My Ad Center.
  • Export your diary data before uninstalling the Application.
  • Uninstall the Application to remove locally stored Application data, subject to device backups and separately exported or shared copies.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to DailySpark, third-party services, or legal requirements. The updated version will be published at the same privacy-policy URL with a revised effective date. We encourage you to review this Policy periodically.
